About Me
Alison Triste, BSc (Hons) Psychology, PgDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, BABCP Accredited, Gm BPS
BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience helping children, teenagers, and adults overcome anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, phobias, and other mental health problems.
Hello, thank you for visiting our website.
I’m Alison. I’ve been a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for over 10 years and offer CBT therapy services to children, teenagers, and adults in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, or Online (securely via Zoom, Skype, or Microsoft Teams).
I’m a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I also have professional indemnity insurance provided by Howden, and I’m a Registered and Authorised Psychotherapist with Bupa, Nuffield Health, Aviva, AXA PPP Healthcare, CBT Clinics, and Healthcode.
I’m a dedicated Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, who will support you to achieve your treatment goals.
I specialise in helping my clients to overcome their difficulties with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, phobias or other mental health problems.
In addition to working with adults, I have worked with children and young adults for 30 years, including teaching and therapy.
I use disorder-specific evidence-based CBT treatments with flexibility, drawing from additional approaches if helpful.
My passion is enabling children and adults to maximize their potential by working collaboratively to meet their treatment goals by using a combination of symptom reduction protocols in addition to Positive Psychology.
In addition to providing private therapy services, I supervise CBT Therapists working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including the NHS; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS); schools; and private practices.
I also deliver staff training in mental health for school staff and children, using CBT techniques.
My aim is to empower my clients to lead happier lives by changing the way they think about themselves and their situations.
If you’re having a challenging time at school, at work, or at home, I can help you find solutions that fit your needs.
Knowledge is power and I want to enable you to be your own therapist by giving you insight into how to manage your emotions long-term for yourself.
My goal is to help you build resilience to cope with uncomfortable emotions so that you can function and find what makes you happy.
My work is absolutely confidential. I follow the ‘BABCP Ethical Framework’ (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies). Everything discussed in therapy is private and strictly confidential.
